If you have downloaded my Style E-Guide: How To Build A Classic Core Wardrobe you will know that #1 on the list is the structured black blazer. I truly believe every wardrobe needs a beautifully tailored blazer - or two!
This is a piece you will and should wear often, so I always suggest spending a little more on quality fabrics, impeccable details and beautiful silhouettes. I highly recommend blazers by camilla and marc, as they construction and fabrication is of the highest quality. Both the toffee-coloured one (above) and khaki one (below) are camilla & marc. However, for under the $300 mark, Mossman have a great range of tailored blazers - both classic black as well as styles in textured fabrics and colour - and I also like own three beautiful blazers from Country Road too (the grey one below is Country Road).
So how many blazers does one need? The blazer is one of the cornerstones of my Style ID, so I do have quite the collection. However if you are starting to build / rebuild your wardrobe I recommend buying one in a classic neutral colour like black, navy or khaki first and then another that is a bit more fun. Think a pastel or bold colour or a check or snakeskin print that will still work with all your core classics but show off your style personality. Here are 12 I highly recommend adding to your cart.
