There's something about a fabric that gets better with every wash and wear, denim is one such fabric, and linen is another. I recently brought these 100% linen pants from a vintage shop called Tiki La La on the Central Coast. Ever since purchasing I have pulled them out almost weekly to wear. They're super comfy and I love the relaxed, straight cut. I suspect the person before me was also a shorty, as I have been able to wear these with flats and slight heel too. If you like this classic trouser style, I have found a similar 100% linen pair currently available from Sportscraft.
Now I have a taste of the linen life, I've been looking for other linen pieces to add to my collection, so I thought I would show you some of the faves I've been bookmarking. You will notice that many brands and labels are doing linen blends, this does reduce the crease and make buying into the trend a little bit more affordable. As with most natural fibres anything that is made 100% of that fabric will be a little more expensive, but of course more luxurious and in most cases sustainable as they're a piece intended to last more than one season.
However, it's all a matter of preference and what you can afford. If you're looking for one really good piece to invest in, I cant go past the 100% linen pieces from Lindy Klim's beautiful new resort collection Rama by Lindy Klim. The Gigi skirt is definitely on my wish-list. And The Shirt by The General Store is also a strong contender as is the gorgeous A-line Prom Skirt in lilac by ASOS. What to check them out?
