I think one of the biggest misconceptions around suiting is that it it can only be worn to the office and it must always be black. While I do definitely recommend having a classic black suit in the wardrobe, one way to inject some personality into your corporate wardrobe is with coloured suiting. I recently got this SABA suit jacket and matching pants and can’t wait to have it on high rotation once the weather cools down!
So when I set about my hunt for coloured suiting to bring you this blog, I just couldn’t go past both the styles, prices and variety I found on MANGO! This is not a sponsored post by any means, I just genuinely loved these styles. So I chose 6 of my favourite coloured suits PLUS 5 items to pair them with for a little bit of outfit inspiration.
When shopping I always advise to try and buy complete looks so that you always know exactly what to wear. The pieces I chose can also work with the individual blazers and bottoms and but will also integrate well with existing pieces like denim jeans and skirts.
Before you head on down and choose your favourite, check out my 3 top tips for buying coloured suits:
Choose more muted pastel tones and earthy colours like lilac, rust, sage and powder blue as they will work well with most neutral colours like white, cream, black, grey and navy
Don’t be afraid to pair your suit with a white sneaker for a casual take on suit dressing
When choosing your coloured suit, think about the ways you can wear the jacket and pants as separates so you know you will get more wear out it. For example; will the suit jacket work with you your favourite denim jeans, or could you team your pants with a stilettos and a slinky camisole for a dinner date.
